【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedtoassistengineersandsewerowner/operatorsindeterminingthesuitabilityofsewersforasecondaryuseashostsforopticalfibercablesandconduits.Itmustbekeptinmindthattheprimaryuseofthesewersistocarrywastewaterorstormwater,orboth.Anysecondaryuseofthesystemshallnotsignificantlyimpairtheprimaryuse.Itisuptotheengineertodecideuponanyexceptionsthatmaybeinvolvedintheselectionprocess.Beforetheselectionprocedurebegins,theinstallermusthaveexplicitauthorizationfromtheowner/operatorallowinganevaluationtobeconductedfortheinstallationofopticalfibercablesorconduitswithintheirsewersystem.Engineersandownersshouldalsobecognizantofhowtheinstallationofopticalfibercableorconduitswillimpactthefutureoperational,maintenance,andrehabilitationneedsofthesewers.1.1Thispracticespecificallyaddressesthecriteriafordeterminingthesuitabilityofgravitysewersforsecondaryusessuchastheinstallationofopticalfibersystems.1.1.1Thispracticeappliestotheprocessofselectinggravitysewersthatareappropriateforacceptinganopticalfibersystemasopposedtostandardsfortheinstallation,operationandmaintenanceofsuchsystemwithinsewers.1.2Thispracticeappliestobothmanaccessibleandmaninaccessiblesewersystems.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
