【摘要】:Thisclassificationprovidesasinglenumberratingfortransmissionlossornoisereductiondatathathavebeenmeasuredorcalculated.ThisratingisbasedonthedifferencebetweentheoverallA-weightedsoundlevelofthesoundspectrumgiveninTable1andtheoverallA-weightedsoundlevelofthespectrumthatresultsfromarithmeticallysubtractingthetransmissionlossornoisereductiondatafromthisspectrum.Thespectrumshapeisanaverageofthreetypicalspectrafromtransportationsources(aircrafttakeoff,freeway,andrailroadpassby).AstudyshowedthatthisclassificationcorrelatedwellwiththeA-weightedandloudnessreductions(seeISO532)calculatedforeachofthetypicalspectrafortheone-thirdoctavebandrangeof50to5000Hz.Thecalculatednumericvalueoftheratingisbasedonthesoundtransmissionlossornoisereductionvaluesforaparticularspecimenanddependsonlyonthatdataandtheshapeofthereferencesourcespectrumusedinthecalculation.ThevaluesshowninTable1haveanarbitraryreferencelevel.Single-numberratingsshouldalwaysbeusedwithcaution.Specimenshavingthesameratingcanresultindifferentindoorspectradependingonthevariationoftheirtransmissionlosswithfrequency.Also,iftheactualspectrumoftheoutdoorsoundisdifferentfromthatassumedinTable1,theoverallA-weightedoutdoor-indoornoisereductionmaybedifferentfromtheOINIC.Thisclassificationrequiressoundtransmissionloss(TL),apparentoutdoor-indoortransmissionlost(AOITL(x03B8;)),oroutdoor-indoornoisereductionmeasurements(OILR(x03B8;))inone-thirdoctavebandsfrom80to4000Hz.DuetoaccuracylimitationsgiveninTestMethodE90andGuideE966,measurementsbelowthe100Hzone-thirdoctavebandarenotusuallyreported.Studieshaveshownthatdatainthe80Hzone-thirdoctavebandarenecessarytoobtainacceptablecorrelationsfortransportationsoundsources.Forthepurposesofthisclassification,measurementsofsoundtransmissionlossinthe80Hzone-thirdoctavebandfromqualifiedlaboratoriesaredeemedtobeofacceptableaccuracy.Usersofthisclassificationshouldrecognizethatlowfrequencymeasurementsofsoundtransmissionlossmaybeaffectedbythetestspecimensizeorthespecimenedgerestraints,orboth,particularlyforsmallmodularspecimenssuchasdoorsorwindows.Consequently,theoutdoor-indoortransmissionclass(OITC)mayalsobeaffectedbythesefactors,resultinginsomeuncertaintyofthefieldperformanceofassembliesbearingaratingnumberusingthisclassification,buttowhatextentisunknown.1.1Thepurposeofthisclassificationistoprovideamethodtocalculatesingle-numberratingsthatcanbeusedforassesingtheisolationfortheoutdoorsoundprovidedbyabuildingorcomparingbuildingfacadespecimensincludingwalls,doors,windows,andcombinationsthereof,includingcompletestructures.Theseratingsaredesignedtocorrelatewithsubjectiveimpressionsoftheabilityofbuildingelementstoreducethepenetrationofoutdoorgroundandairtransportationnoise.Theseratingsprovideanevaluationandrankorderingoftheperformanceoftestspecimensbasedontheireffectivenessatcontrollingthesoundofaspecificoutdoorsoundspectrumcalledthereferencesourcespectrum.1.2Inadditiontothecalculationmethod,thisclassificationdefinessomeratingsnotdefinedinotherstandards.Otherstandardsmaydefineadditionalratingsbasedonthemethodofthisclassification.1.3Theratingdoesnotnecessarilyrelatetotheperceivedaesthetic......
